LOOKING BACK

It has been a very busy time lately with mid-week lunch meetings and also mid-week runs. As you can probably tell most of us are retired!

Our June lunch was organised by Terry and Carole at the Swan Blackbrook and included a quiz. (with all the usual half-hearted groans!)

A full day run on Saturday 22nd organised by Sid and Ann took us to the NT property Quarry Bank, Wilmslow. We were very lucky as it was nice and sunny for our picnic.

Roger and Sarah took us on a beautiful run over the Clee Hills and surrounding area, again we were quite lucky with the weather, finishing at The Down in Bridgnorth.

Music and Classics at the Dorothy Clive gardens was unfortunately a washout. It was rather damp last year as well and perhaps they need to change the date. June should be good weather but not this year.

Another full day run organised by Jonathan and Jane, titled 7 Fords (as in water) started at their local church in a lovely little village where coffee and very good homemade cakes were on offer. The day started damp and drizzly, but the sun showed its face and we had a brilliant run, visiting areas which a lot of us didn’t know. We were very surprised finding out that there were so many fords! A tasty lunch at the Swan in Aston Munslow finished the day.
